Severn Planner terms of use
Last updated September 12, 2026
What this is
Planner is a free student planner. Planner Overlay is an optional browser extension that shows it on top of a Blackbaud school portal. By using either one you accept these terms.
Not your school, not Blackbaud, not Canvas
Planner is an independent student project. No school or educational institution runs it, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Severn School, Blackbaud, Instructure (Canvas), or any other school or company whose site it works alongside. Their names appear only to describe what it works with.
Grades here are not your official record
Grades and GPA in this app are calculated from figures you enter or that were copied from your portal, and they are there for convenience. They can be out of date, incomplete, or wrong. Your school's records are the only official ones. Check them before relying on anything here for eligibility, applications, or transcripts.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and use the app for your own school work. Do not use it to break your school's rules or anyone's terms of service, to reach another person's data, or to attack or overload the service.
Your data
What you put in stays yours. You can export or delete it at any time from Settings. We store it and show it back to you, and that is all. See the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
The app is free and provided as is, with no guarantee that it will be available, accurate, or free of faults. It can change or stop working at any time. Sync depends on outside services and on a school portal we do not control, so it can fail. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose (Settings, Export JSON).
Limits
To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss from using the app, including missed work, missed deadlines, lost data, or a grade that turned out to be wrong.
Ending it
You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. Accounts used to abuse the service may be removed.
Changes
These terms may change. The date above shows when they last did. If you keep using the app, you accept the current version.
